Here at York Metal, we bring ideas and thoughts into the physical world. In addition to our 50 plus years of experience in custom fabricated guardrails and handrails, we are now offering a wide variety of metal works. From small pocket and purse crosses all the way up to large custom built smokers and grills, we want to help you take your ideas and dreams from the realm of imagination to your living room or back porch. Below you will find some further information on things we have currently available in our online storefront. Also, you will see some inspiration for some custom work we have done to get your imagination working on what you might want to work with us to create. Art and Decorative items

Clicking on the picture on the left will show you our collection of current inventory of Artistic and Whimsical items that we have created. Here you will find hand forged crosses, shave kits, bowls, lamps, candy dishes, and any other hard to define items. 

Also, if you see something that piques your interest, but you want something a little different, contact us and we can discuss working up something custom just for you. Stock will rotate over time as things sell and new things are made, so keep an eye on our blog posts for updates.

From CNC plasma art items to larger signage work, this is where you will find our inventory of "flat" and wall mounted items. Our design inventory has literally thousands of designs we can cut and dress up in virtually any way you can imagine. Feel free to contact us directly about specific signage or wall art requests, and we will do our very best to fill your order. 

Entertainment Tree

Still in the late stages of rolling out, this new concept features and aluminum "column" that serves as support for a face mounted flat screen monitor, and fully adjustable shelving for all your components. The base design features a hidden floor mounted base plate that bolts to the floor to offer solid support for a clean, minimal installation. There are options for a flat plate base that can be used if attaching to the floor is not desired or possible. We will also be offering a stand system in the future, offering a caster supported design for great mobility of the unit for industrial or trade show applications. Cabling is concealed from view by velcro fasteners on the back of the shelf supports and main column to traffic all the cords in a clean and efficient manner. 

Finish options are virtually limitless, from anodized aluminum to powder coated center posts, stainless steel shelving supports, wood shelves, glass shelves, painted metal shelves, your imagination is the only limit.

Smokers and grills

Something that sprung out of a slow November in 2016, we built our first smoker for our own use. It has been a wildly successful foray into the world of smoking and grilling, and we want to explore those possibilities further. Perhaps you have always wanted a smoker that was a little more sturdy or unique than the options available at the local big box retailer? Well, we can probably help you out. Our initial smoker utilized 1/4" steel walled pipe and plate, custom doors and cooking grates. We even put a lovely, hearty walnut shelf out front that will take the years of smoke without crumbling away.
